Short Term Accommodation for 2021

It’s fair to say we’re all ok with seeing the back of 2020. It was a year we’ll never forget, as the whole country went into lockdown and we met our new best friend: Zoom. We learnt to do things differently. Work, study, and our social lives all headed online, as we stayed put.

We learnt new skills and met new (online) people. We changed and we grew. We adapted and used social media to hold onto our strong sense of Aussie comradery. And we are all stronger for it.
And now we’re here…ready to get out and embrace life again. The last few weeks have seen the easing of restrictions yet again, and Sydney is ready to make up for a lost time! So let’s celebrate. Check out all the things you can do now during your stay in Sydney.

Short Term Stays in the Buzzing City

While the city of Sydney was a ghost town as we all worked from home, it’s back in a big way! The vibrancy and buzz of the city is back, with most people now having returned to the office. Let us share with you the secrets, so you can do it how the locals do.

If you’re around the CBD, grab lunch and take yourself for a picnic in Hyde Park. You’ll find beautiful gardens, lunchtime exercise classes, and an exciting mix of uni students, office workers, and urban adventurers. Wander down the road to Pitt St Mall for some retail therapy and then don’t miss the happy hour at Fratelli Fresh from 3pm on weekdays. Don’t forget to leave some time to explore for yourself, because there’s always something new around the corner in Sydney!

Experience the Nightlife

After overcoming a handful of new Covid cases in Sydney throughout the December period, our bars and restaurants are back in action. The restrictions have once again eased from 4m per person to 2m per person, meaning the capacities of venues have doubled.

This means lines are shorter and venues are ready to get the party started. While we still can’t get up on the dance floor here in Sydney, restrictions are likely to ease in the coming weeks. So get warmed up, because Sydney is ready to go.

Embrace Festival Culture

Sydney’s festival scene is back, and better than ever. While many events last year were cancelled, it seems Sydney is making up for a lost time. We can finally enjoy the live music and arts we’ve been missing, with an incredible line up of festivals.

Some exciting festivals coming up include the cult-followed Sydney Comedy Festival (19 April – 16 May), Sydney’s famous Royal Easter Show (April 1-12) and Touch Bass Music Festival (April 4), which is doing a fantastic job of redeeming itself after unfortunately having to cancel their event in 2020.

So come join us as we get back to enjoying all that Sydney has to offer. As always, Apartments Plus is here to make your trip as simple as possible, offering so much more than a hotel.
