Some of the more famous beaches include Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach, Burleigh Heads and Coolangatta. The Gold Coast is also host to numerous Australian surf and life saving championships which attract hundreds of thousands of visitors every year.

The vast number of beaches means there's something for everyone whether it be white sandy beaches with rolling ocean, protected family beaches nestled among the palms, rocky headlands, rock pools and island retreats.
